Guides

About 300 guides on animals, space, science, history, places, people and festivals. Each opens with a short, direct answer and a box of quick facts. It ends with common myths, a few check-up questions and the sources we used. Some guides also have a Fact File of key numbers and dates.

Activities

Quizzes, fact-or-myth cards, matching games, timelines and maps at the end of many guides. Each question comes from the guide above it, so children can go back and find the answer. No sign-in, on computers and tablets.

Worksheets

Printable PDFs that go with a guide. Each has its own fact cards, so children can answer from the sheet as well as the screen, and an answer key at the end. Free to print and copy for classroom and home use.

Something new every day

The home page has a daily challenge question, and a section called “Happening in” the current month, with guides on the festivals and events coming up. Both make a quick lesson starter.

Ideas

Five ways to use KidzFeed this week

  1. A lesson starter. Put the daily challenge or one fact-or-myth card on the board and ask the class to vote.
  2. Homework. Send a class list with one guide, its activities and its worksheet. Children tick each step off as they finish it.
  3. A research project. Older pupils can use a guide’s sources list as a starting point, then cite the guide itself with “Cite this page”.
  4. Reading practice. Guides are written in short paragraphs with the hard words explained, so they work for independent or paired reading.
  5. A rainy-day or holiday pack. Print two or three worksheets on one theme, such as the Old Stone Age, the Bronze Age and the Iron Age.

Curriculum

How KidzFeed links to the curriculum

Guides are tagged with the school stages they suit, and with the curriculum they fit: the UK, the US, or any curriculum (for topics taught everywhere, such as animals and space). The tags are our own judgement of where a guide fits. Guides are written to explain a subject clearly, not to match an exam specification, so please check a guide against your own scheme of work. A full list of tagged guides, grouped by subject, is at the end of this page.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง UK curriculum ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ US curriculum Key Stage 2 Ages 8 to 10 Ages 11 to 13

England: Key Stage 2 (ages 7 to 11) ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

Topics named in the national curriculum in England, with guides that support them.

United States: grades 3 to 5 ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Many US states use the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). These guides support NGSS topics.

For social studies, the history and geography guides support work on world history, countries and cultures. States set their own standards for these subjects, so please check against yours.

Safety and trust

Made for children, checked before it goes live

๐Ÿ”’ No accounts for children. Nothing on the site asks a child for a name, email address or password.

๐Ÿ“ข Ads. KidzFeed is paid for by advertising from Google. There are no ads on class lists. The privacy policy explains what our partners collect.

๐Ÿ“Š Activities. We count how often each activity is started and finished, and which questions are answered correctly. We never record who played.

โœ… Checked facts. Guides are researched from reliable sources and checked before they go live. Read our editorial policy and sources policy.

โœ๏ธ Mistakes. Found one? Please tell us. We fix it and list it on the corrections page.

Questions

Questions teachers and parents ask

Is it free?

Yes. Every guide, activity, worksheet and class list is free. The site is paid for by advertising.

Do pupils need an account?

No. Pupils open a guide or a class list link and start. There is nothing to sign up for.

Can I copy the worksheets?

Yes, for classroom and home use. Please link to the worksheet’s page rather than uploading the PDF somewhere else, so your pupils always get the latest version.

Which ages is KidzFeed for?

Most guides are written for ages 8 to 13. Each guide shows its age band at the top, and you can browse guides for ages 8 to 10 or ages 11 to 13.

Can I suggest a topic?

Yes, please. Write to us with the topic and the age group, and tell us if it is for a unit you are teaching soon.

๐ŸŽ’ Ready for your first class list?

Pick three guides, add their activities and a worksheet, and share it in one link.

Every guide by curriculum

These lists are built from each guide's tags, so new guides join them as soon as they are published. Open a subject to see its guides. ๐ŸŽฎ has activities ยท ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ has a worksheet
